Like most good things it costs money to be a member of the Scout Association.
Subscriptions help to pay for the running of the Group. This includes the cost of running and maintaining the Scout Hall; including payment of electricity, gas, telephone, property insurance, etc.
Out of the subs we also have to pay a capitation (membership) fee to the Scout Association. This year (2016) it is over £30 per member of the Group. Capitation covers the cost of running the Scout Association and includes such things as insurance, leader training, etc.
Subs can be paid by standing order or via on-line banking and these are our preferred methods of payment. Alternative payment methods are, however, available on request (cash/cheque). Payments may be made monthly, quarterly or annually.
The regular payment amount includes the Scout Assosiation annual capitation fee.
The current annual cost of subscriptions plus capitation fees is £132 per member.
Please remember that we are a voluntary organisation and rely on our adults to give up their time to keep the Group running. Collecting fees in this way allows the leaders to spend more time on fun activities than administration.

If you have multiple children in the group then please simply multiply the payment amount by the number of children and use the date of birth of the youngest child in the reference.
