We have spaces in all our sections, please use the 'contact us' for more information
Having received the most up to date guidance from both the Scottish Government and Scouts Scotland we are delighted we can now share the following information with you for when your child/children return to outdoor Scout Meetings.
Central to all planning and decision making is the safety of all our Scouting community. All measures put in place will be reviewed as required. The guidance aims to make a safe environment for everyone from the moment the children arrive to the time they leave.
Please work with us and do not send your child if you suspect someone in the household may have COVID’19 or has been asked to self isolate
All parents will drop the children where advised by the leaders,. One the leaders will be waiting to welcome them and sign them in. Parents please be aware of social distancing when waiting for the children to be checked in.
Hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities will be available. Should you wish your child to use their own hand sanitiser please ensure that it is clearly labelled with their name.
Please follow leader guidance re what to wear and bring.
Parents will then collect their child/children from there when the meeting finishes. Again, please be mindful of distancing rules.
If meeting outside the scout hall there will be access for toilets only
The larger single toilet and one cubical only will be available, please ensure that your child ‘pays a visit’ prior to leaving the house. The toilets will be cleaned after each visit and along with handwashing and ensure children again use the hand sanitiser.
Please bring your own water bottles filled and clearly labelled with the child’s name.
Children should not bring personal belongings to group.
There will be no tuck shop until further notice.
All current guidance confirms that face coverings are not required to be worn by children in group. Therefore, there is no expectation for children to wear any face covering when in group at this time. Scouts and Explorers over the age of 12 will still be asked to wear a face covering and maintain required social distancing rules.
We would ask that a face covering is brought however, as there may on rare occasions be a need to breach the distancing rules in case of any first aid emergency and your child may be asked to wear a covering. We do have a supply of disposable face coverings in the hall that may also be used in the unlikely event of an emergency
Test & Protect
Attendance at all meetings gives implicit agreement for your details to be provided to Test & Protect should it become necessary. It is also implicit that you inform us as soon as you become aware of any COVID symptoms that you or your child/children exhibit.
These measures support the safety and social distancing required. To ensure supervision and support leaders, please arrive only 5 mins before the start of the meeting and allow for social distancing of adults.
Adults please ensure considerate and safe parking.
